Let’s begins our journey at KL Forest Eco Park!

Herbal And Fern Gardens

Near the information center entrance, we first saw herbal garden and fern gardens. After going up flights and flights of stairs, we arrived at the main attraction of the forest—the canopy walk.

Canopy Walk

At the end of the canopy walk, we had to go down another flight of stairs to a paved trail. The same trail that leads us back to the start of the canopy walk.

If you’re coming in from the KLCC or the convent entrance, you will find your way around the many hiking trails in the park.

There are altogether three trails here:

  • Arboretum Trail
  • Penarahan Trail
  • Jelutong Trail

Note: Bring mosquito repellent as the blood-sucking devils here are crazy.

Along the way, we were just taking a leisure stroll surrounded by lush greenery. It didn’t feel like we were in the middle of KL at all!

In less than an hour, we arrived at a somewhat dodgy area that leaves the park to KLCC Tower. The fence was locked, though slightly ajar, which can accommodate an average adult human.

We sneaked out the gate, and found ourselves standing at the foot of KLCC Tower. How convenient.

Later, we realized that the locked gate no longer works as an entry to KL Forest Eco Park. It has now turned it into a Mini Zoo. Or so they called it Zoo In the City.

Final Words

KL Forest Eco Park is definitely an instagrammable spot in Kuala Lumpur! Make sure you take the canopy walk to take in the skyline of KL and a view of the KLCC!

Remember to go early and carry your mosquito repellent with you!
